Singer, author and composer of the band Quadrilha (folk music group with 6 albums edited) presents a popular music project, based on the Portuguese tradition, taking into account their different influences, such as the so-called Celtic roots music or music coming from north of Africa countries.
This project brings us an intersection of musical cultures that represent well the Portuguese tradition as a whole. The repertoire consists of: traditional Portuguese themes (with a particular focus on regions of Minho and Trás-os-Montes), some songs come from the lands of Scotland, Ireland and Brittany, and many original songs, including some of the band itself.
Sebastião Antunes has performed numerous concerts in Portugal solo and with his band Quadrilha, as well as in world music festivals, performed oversea, especially in countries like Spain, Canada, France and Switzerland.
